AK Kids Philosophy
AK Kids has always valued a mix of traditional child-centered and teacher-directed early childhood education. Kindergarten readiness is very important, as is nurturing the 'whole child'. Our teaching style reflects this value.
The classroom environment has been created carefully to provide structured learning balanced with invitations to play freely. Children are provided unique opportunities and comfortable spaces to feel at ease.
We make every effort to create an environment that invites children to learn social, practical and life skills, academics and exploration. Our research-based curriculum focuses on math, literacy, ZooPhonics, music and movement, social skills and sensory play.

Summer Reading Program | June-August
AK Kids love to read! And all summer long school-age kids visit the Kenai library for the summer reading program. Topics include a variety of wellness and sports themed activities and, of course, reading!
